[edit] How to change status of a Lead?

Ans: To change the status of a Lead under Sales Module,you can open the details of the Lead and use the edit button over the Status field and select the status from the drop down list. Alternatively, you can use the change status button and select the status, click the Update status button to save the changes in the status.


[edit] How to convert a Lead?

Ans: To convert a Lead into a Potential, you can click on the Convert Lead option under Leads. You can choose to not create a New Potential after the conversion or choose to provide the details of potential name, amount and stage of the potential. Ans: You can use the Change Owner Button directly to edit the owner assigned, or click on the selected potential, use the edit button against the Assigned to User field to change the owner and save the change.

Converting a lead doesn't work anymore. I've created a lead - fine. I've tried "convert" and got the following result: no account created, no contact created, no potential created but lead deleted. What went wrong? By the way, same procedure works fine with vtiger 5 beta.

Ans:In demo it is working fine for admin login. Check the permission of the user for whom the problem occurs while converting lead

Ans: Click on Settings, under Studio, select Picklist Editor, select your module you are referring to and edit your desired picklist then hit save.

Ans:The following steps can be made use of:

1. Traverse to Settings module>Roles

2. Under this category, select the Role for which you wish to change the privileges. (In your case for eg, you can click on the sales man roles to edit the privileges.)

3. Here, you can disable the view all and edit all privileges and click on the save to update the changes in privileges.

4. The next step is to go to the Settings> Sharing Access option

5. Here, you can change the privileges under the Organization-level sharing rules by clicking on the Change privileges Button

6. Now, you can choose the option"private" from the drop down list of privileges against individual modules as per requirement.

7. Click on the save permissions button

8. The next and most important step is to click on the Recalculate Option to ensure that the changes in the privileges are reset and updated.

9.The final step is to logout of the application and again login, to check if the changes in privileges have been implemented.

Ans: This is how we create a report to know all the accounts who bought a specific product.

1)Give a Report name , Report folder and Description. 2)It will ask Select Related Module (Here you have to specify the module Products) 3)It will ask you the format of the report.You have to specify the format. 4)Select the fields as you wish to generate the report. At last that is 7th step you have to select the field in advance filter as Product Name - Equals - Name of the Product.

Report generation is completed.
